Optional analytics remain disabled unless and until you make an affirmative choice through a consent control displayed on the website.
Functional cookie
protos-locale is a first-party functional cookie that remembers the website language you selected. Its value is one of our supported language codes: en, sq, it, de, fr, or es.
The cookie is available across the website, uses the SameSite=Lax setting, is marked Secure when the site is served over HTTPS, and expires after one year. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking you across other websites.
Optional analytics
If you choose to allow analytics, Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_<measurement-id> to distinguish pseudonymous visitors and sessions. It may process page URLs and titles, referrers and campaign details, events and session statistics, approximate location, and browser, device, screen, and language information.
If you allow analytics, Microsoft Clarity may use cookies such as _clck and _clsk and process clicks, pointer movement, scrolling, navigation, browser and device details, technical diagnostics, heatmaps, and session recordings. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity both remain disabled until you make an affirmative choice. Optional analytics are used to measure website performance and improve usability, not for advertising; advertising storage remains denied, and rejecting analytics does not restrict the website's essential functions.
External services
The interactive map on our About page requests map tiles from OpenStreetMap. This creates a direct connection between your browser and OpenStreetMap infrastructure. External providers handle information under their own privacy and cookie practices.
Google, Microsoft, and OpenStreetMap may process technical information outside Albania or your country of residence under their own privacy practices and safeguards. More information about our use of providers appears in our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
You can view, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Deleting protos-locale removes the saved preference; visiting a localized page may create it again so the site can remember that language.
Optional analytics are disabled when no affirmative choice has been made. You can use Cookie choices in the footer to reject analytics or withdraw a previous choice. You can also delete provider cookies in your browser. These choices do not prevent you from reading the website, although deleting protos-locale means your language may not be remembered.

We may update this policy when the website or the technologies it uses change. The current version and revision date will always appear on this page.
